How important is it that people should marry and remain together permanently?

In my opinion, it is very important for people to get married and remain living together permanenetly. There are a number of reasons to support this view and opinion. Firstly, nobody is perfect so we should not expect that the person we are getting married to would be an angel and will live peacefully and do nothing wrong. "We are built to make mistakes, coded for error." as a famous person says so we should develop a habit of forgiving others for the sake of a healthy relationship.
Secondly, knowing each other takes time. Even in a love marriage, two different people require time to adjust with each other and become familiar with each others' lifestyle. We should not make abrupt decisions like divorce right after marriage as this will crumble our image in the society. All of us should try to amend our own mistakes and give time to others to amend theirs.
Permanent relationship means happiness forever, not only for ourselves but our off springs likewise. If we keep on quarralling with each other on petty issues, this would have a bad impact on our children's brains. The kids should not be deprived of the love of their parents and divorce means that they are deprived of their right. The number of single parent families in America has risen at a very steady rate thanks to unhealthy relationships. The kids require both, the strictness of their father and the politeness of their mother to become successful in life. They would be adversely affected if their parents kept on having quarrels or have divorced each other and are likely to do the same later on in the future. However if they grow in a peaceful and ideal environment, they would also do the same when they get into a relationship.
Good relationship between husband and wife would set a great example not only for their children but for the society as a whole. Most, if not all, other couples would also be impressed and will try to do the same at their homes as well. These will impact the overall society in a great way. Hence proved that it is very important for people to marry and remain living together permanently.

Write a story based on the following: “The owner of a local business takes strong action when threatened by outside competition.”

Mr. Johnson, the owner of the only general store in our neighborhood, was a very rude and mean person. He used to charge very high prices because of his monopoly. Despite his goods being very expensive and of very low quality, the residents of our area, including me, bought from his store as we had no other alternatives. Many a times the items I bought from his store were expired but I had to go on buying from his store.
After many years of misery, a handful of the residents opened a consumer co-operative with much effort and investment. They offered discounts along with good quality products. The staff employed in their general store was also nice, polite and soft-spoken.
The immediate impact on Mr. Johnson’s business was that his sales fell rapidly and he started incurring losses. To cope up with the new threat, he started advertising extensively. He also brought in new merchandise and diversified his product range but even then his market share kept on declining at a great pace. Mr. Johnson was much aggrieved at this and started planning other ways to gain back his lost market share and customers likewise.
Another strategy he used was to sell his goods at extremely lower prices, even lower than his rivals, but for no avail and his rivals kept on gaining more ground. The result of this pricing strategy was even more losses to Mr. Johnson who had no other choice than to sell off his assets and close down the business as he was unable to fend off competition due to his bad behavior and indifference to others’ problems.
Mr. Johnson tried another tactic for the last time. He accosted the members of the consumer co-operative and plead to them about his problems. He told them that he had no alternative bread and butter as nobody would employ him due to his selfish behavior. If the consumer co-operative continues, he will have to move away. The members of the co-operative felt piety for him and told him that they would stop if he discards his previous attitude. Mr. Johnson promised that he would do as they said. Seeing this, the members of the co-operative closed down their store.
Mr. Johnson was back in business but he did not continue his acts but started off in a new manner with the main aim of public welfare with a reasonable profit. Ten years have passed by but Mr. Johnson has abided by his promise and his business is currently a very prosperous one. This is how he was able to fend off competition with much effort.

Describe a time when efforts to please someone ended in failure.

It was my birthday so I invited all my schoolmates to the party at my home. All the guests had arrived by the designated time except for Ali. Ali was my best friend and his not coming would have displeased me. While we were waiting for him, my friends decided to pull a prank at him. At first I tried to stop them but they convinced me that it would be fun and Ali would not mind. They filled a bucket with water and placed it on the door so that when it opened, the bucket fell down. At last, we heard the sound of Ali’s and as he opened the door, the bucket fell and the water spilt on Ali covering him from head to toe. At this sight, everybody started laughing and Ali became embarrassed so he immediately called back his driver and went to his home.
At first, I thought that the matter was not serious and decided to apologize for the happenings of the eve the next day at school. On the next day, I accosted Ali as soon as I saw him and apologized but he gave me an angry look and averted his face. I then knew that he was really upset because of the day before. All day long, I tried to speak to him but he ignored me. When I reached my home, I immediately turned on my laptop and emailed Ali begging his pardon.
The day after that at school when the English teacher asked about the homework that had to be emailed to her, everyone replied that they have emailed except for Ali who told the teacher that his computer has broken down because of an email sent by me containing a virus. The teacher punished him with double homework for giving, what she thought was, a lame excuse for not doing work. After that while in a class, I sent him a text message saying sorry. Ill-fatedly, Ali’s cell was on general profile and rang out loud when the message was received. The teacher immediately confiscated his cell for a week. By the looks of his face, I could tell that he was extremely angry from me. In the break time, I wrote sorry on a piece of paper and kept it in one of Ali’s notebooks and put that notebook back in his bag. After the break, we had a math quiz and as Ali took out his notebook, the paper I had kept in it fell on the floor. The teacher thinking that Ali was cheating first scolded on him and then gave him a two hour after school detention.
After failing four times, I tried to give it a one more go. I bought an expensive watch and wrapped it in a colorful sheet. Along with it, I set towards Ali’s home. On arriving, I rang the door bell. Ali opened the door. Without a word, I presented the gift to him. He took it and threw it on the floor and shouted out aloud, “I hate you! Never speak to me ever again!” and with this he closed the door. Thus all my efforts ended in a fiasco.

What do you think people of your age can do to improve life in our country?

Teenagers, like me, can greatly influence the whole environment and community of our country, provided that we take the initiative and responsibility, life in our country can be greatly improved by doing some very simple tasks on our own at individual level. Below are some of the tasks that, if people of my age complete, will definitely boost up the process of improving life in the country.
Firstly, we have to take out the thought from our minds that rules are for losers. Rules are created for our own good and welfare and by not following them, we are ruining our society. For example, nowadays it is very common to see young teens riding bikes on the street without a license. By not following the rules, they are putting their lives as well as the lives of other people around them in great danger as they could crash into something or someone. No rule breaking can be considered as the first step towards a healthier and safer society.
Secondly, we could reduce our own expenses and give a part, whether it is a mere part, to the local charities or other social welfare organizations. This way the poor people of our nation could be given shelter, food and clothes to wear easily as there are many young people spending their allowances at places they shouldn’t like buying that extra packet of chips even though your tummy is full.
Thirdly, we could teach those children for free whose parents cannot afford to have their children taught at schools or other educational institutions. By following the policy of “Each one, teach one”, the learned teens can contribute greatly towards a bright future of our country as in later times these educated children will support and develop our nation greatly.
People of our ages could also do other social welfare activities like planting new plants and trees to reduce the pollution and make a clean environment to live in. Trash lifting in groups or individually or not littering the streets are other effective ways to improve the environment of our country. Smoking at such a small age and in public areas is also rule breaking so we should avoid these and many other non social acts if we hope to see a better country. By following the above mentioned as well as other thousands and millions of socially and environmentally friendly activities, we can ensure that the living conditions in our country are likely to be improved effectively and efficiently.

Teamwork

Team means Together Everyone Achieves More! Teamwork is the ability to work together towards a common vision. It is the ability to direct individual accomplishment towards organizational objectives.  It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.
When we talk about Teamwork we generally mean different things. For some a team is a group of people with a shared purpose. For others a team must also have a deadline. For others a team must also embody some degree of co-operative working. If we are really serious about improving teams and teamwork then we need to get more rigorous around what we actually mean.
Like everything in this universe, teamwork has several advantages and disadvantages as well. One of the advantage is that it encourages group support and co-operation and teaches the group members about tolerance and understanding of different angles and points of view. Weaknesses of one member can be supported by stronger members which will make the results better and more effective than a person doing it individually. It can reinforce the notion that two (or more) heads are better than one. Also when a group of intelligent people is talking about one common subject and looking for best solution they usually find the answer to their questions. Why? Because we are all different and while speaking one mind is stimulating another one and that's how the best ideas and solution usually comes up during brainstorming.
Disadvantages of teamwork include when working in a team there are no losers and no winners. That, despite of obvious advantage (no one loses anything), can be a big disadvantage because no one takes a blame and no one can really feel  good of the gained success. If the task is assigned to a group which does not enjoy doing work they would assume that other members of the group would do it but in fact the task would be left unfinished. Teamwork also leads to interdependency as tasks are divided among the workers but if one worker is absent or unwilling to work, the entire group will have to suffer. Not all members of the group will undertake their tasks on time and can let the entire group down. Not all members will have the same strengths and weaknesses. If ideas of different members conflict, it can have very adverse effect on the performance of the entire team.
Despite having many disadvantages, the advantages of teamwork outweigh them. There is a famous saying,” Teamwork divides the task and multiplies the success” which shows the importance of teamwork.

“We do not enjoy our work, only our leisure”. How far do you agree?

Leisure, or free time, is time spent away from business, work, and domestic chores while work can be defined as physical or mental effort or activity directed towards the production or accomplishment of something. There is no doubt that leisure does give us a lot of pleasure and that all of us enjoy our leisure moments but the above given statement is in the extreme. There is a famous saying, “All work no play makes Jack a dull boy but al play no work makes Jack a bored boy”.
I do agree with this statement but to a very little extent. If it were totally true, then life will cease to be a pleasure. This is because, we spend the greater part of our lives, and usually the best part of everyday, working. Man leads a complex life. He works to support himself and his family. During his non-working hours, he rests and spends the time with his family and friends, or with his hobbies. Many people wish that they do not go home and keep on doing work as they enjoy it the most. I read about a millionaire a few weeks back who became rich by winning a lottery. He left his job and started doing one of his hobbies but after sometime he became bored and became employed once again which shows that it’s a human nature that too much leisure can make a person bored and make him revert to his work.
On the other hand, most people who are forced into doing some sort of work they do not want to do, are often found saying that they hate their work and they do not feel engrossed in what they are doing. Another common statement they make is “I can’t wait for the next weekends to come”. A wise man has said, “Find a job you enjoy doing and you won’t have to work a day in your life”. This statement clearly shows that those who do work according to their will feel like having leisure rather than doing work but those who do not, clearly see their work as a burden.
I think people need both the discipline of work and the freedom of leisure. It is quite natural to feel that we only enjoy our leisure because during our free time, we are our own boss. But I think if each of us suddenly becomes rich and we are given a choice between "all leisure" or "work and leisure", we would choose to enjoy the joys of both work and leisure.

Professional sportsmen are more interested in making money than playing the game. Do you agree?

I agree to a lot of extent that the passion of playing among the sportsmen is diminishing as the lust for money is increasing among the players and the money received differs from game to game. Nowadays everyone hankers after money and professional sportsmen are no exception. Sports is the only bread and butter they have but most, if not all, players are increasingly sidelining their duties, to play for their national team at first priority.
In today’s world, sportsmen prefer to play in different leagues or do modeling or receive sponsors from different famous branded companies in order to accumulate huge influxes of money in order to support their ever increasing extravagant lifestyles. These deviate them from their original responsibilities.
I am also in the opinion that by playing for the national teams, the players do not receive as much money as they would by playing in a league. To counter this, the national boards should try to raise the funds given to the players. This would lessen the excuse made by players that they do not get enough funds by playing for the national teams. This is why they play in different leagues and mostly become unfit or injured when it comes to play in the national teams. The players who are unable to play in leagues revert to illegal means which could be intentionally losing a match in match fixing or not perform well to receive money from gamblers. This means that for the sake of money, they betray and sell out their own nations.
The best players who become brand ambassadors or get sponsors as well as those who are paid huge sums of money just for appearing in an advertisement or coaching a rich person’s child for sometime prefer to do these rather than playing the game. They get money by just sitting in home and the sum they get is many times greater than the amount received when they play for their respective nations. This greediness encourages them to stay at home.
This is why I am in the opinion that money has become the most important thing for most of the sportsmen who do not even feel remorse when they double cross their own nations and people.

Jealousy

“I hate myself!” said a seventy year old guy to himself who was sitting in a corner of the freezing prison cellar. Farooq was recollecting his sad memories which had made him loose everything in life. He knew that none of this would have happened if he hadn’t become jealous.
Forty-five years back, he fell in love with a beautiful girl named Reem. Farooq would have done anything for her but she loved Farooq’s best friend, Sameer. Farooq and Sameer were best friends since childhood, but the feeling of jealousy shattered this strong relationship completely. Like a normal person would have done, Farooq proposed to Reem but she refused the proposal and told Farooq that she loved Sameer and when Sameer proposed to her, she gladly accepted it as was expected. It was the worst moment of Farooq’s life and it was as if the land under his feet had been pulled away. For him, it meant the end of the world. This was a heart rending moment for him and a fire lit in his heart against Sameer.
Farooq did not show any sign of malice towards Sameer but deep inside, the fire was intensifying in heat. Whenever he saw them together, the fire of jealousy enraged him. He started plotting against the two young love birds and finally devised an evil plan to separate the young lovers.
The plan was to invite Sameer and Reem to a dinner than force Reem to give up Sameer but if she does not, than he would murder Sameer. When Farooq gave the engaged couple the invitation, they gladly accepted it thinking that their friend was happy for them.
At the given date, Reem arrived with Sameer in his car at the venue where Farooq had invited them to. When they entered the room Farooq was waiting in, he greeted them and told them with a forced smile, “It is a great pleasure for me that you two could come. Please have a seat.” locking the door behind them. He then took out a pistol from his pocket and pointed it at Sameer and asked Reem that whom she loved more to which she replied in low and scared voice, ”Sameer”. Enraged by this reply, Farooq loaded the pistol and shot a bullet on Sameer’s heart. Reem screamed as the lifeless body of Sameer fell on the floor. She rushed towards him and wept for sometime after which she started laughing out loud. When Farooq saw this, he knew that she had gone insane. He came to his senses when he realized what heinous act he had committed after which he called the police.
After a while, the police arrived and after breaking in the door, they arrested Farooq on charges of committing a murder. A lively group of friends became ruined just because of jealousy. Tears started running down his old wrinkled face as he regretted his past.
